Close Like an Oscar-Winning Movie...  Solve and Satisfy!

Article Date: May 22, 2006

Great presentations follow the rules of great movies, plays and literary works.  It is often helpful to view them as a "three-act play."  Your closing lines constitute Act III.

  • ACT III -  The Close.  It solves the problem.  Releases the tension.  Satisfies the listener.

Above All:  Your close should be memorable.

  • Here are 2 great closing lines which will stick in your listeners' heads after the meeting:

  • (COMMITMENT) "Mr. Client . . . let's do this together.  I give you my personal commitment that I will do everything in my power to see that your mission is accomplished!"

  • (FOCUS) "Ms. Client . . . if you remember only one thing from our meeting, please remember this:  I sell 93% of the homes I list within 10% of the listing price.  We will succeed, together."
