I visited Dallas this week... a terrific city for night life/entertainment and Texas hospitality.

Since I was attending a downtown trade show, I stayed at the Hyatt Regency near the convention center.  Good access, reliable shuttles, efficient services.

The convention center itself was top-notch.  Modern, great air conditioning, good food service.

Warning: Watch for the cab rides.  Several of our drivers had no clue where they were going and got lost.  Also, they have huge add-ons for extra passengers.  Fares to/from the airport were ridiculous.  At those prices, think about ordering a private car.

Warning: Don't check bags going in to DFW airport.  My friend who did (golf clubs, etc.) waited 45 minutes to an hour.  You might want to ship your stuff in advance.
