Has Everybody in Your Target Market Heard of You?  Why Not?  Here's How to Spread the Word!

There are several hundred real estate brokers in my town/suburb of around 10,000 people.  There is one, maybe two brokers everybody had heard of.  Why?  Because they made it happen by...

  • Sending out a semi-annual newsletter about the market and other interesting topics.

  • Taking out personal ads in the paper about themselves.

  • Writing press releases, white papers, editorials and giving interviews.

  • By sponsoring/attending important, local sporting events.

You get the idea.  In fact, if you are selling B to B, your universe is probably smaller, say 100-300 people.  Make it a goal... by this time next year, they should all have heard of you.  A key part of selling is marketing--in this case, marketing yourself.
