I was in the Big Apple last week.  Man was it hot! (105 in the Manhattan canyons.)

I'm stuck for a few hours between meetings, so I decide to keep cool by hitting a day spa, stopping at Salon Today (located at 145 West 55th Street between 6th and 7th Avenues).  How about this one... a pedicure and a manicure at the same time for less than $100!  Then I went next door to Dario Salon for a haircut (212-582-1647) from Teresa.  I rolled into my next meeting feeling like a million bucks.

Dinner at Patsy's Italian Restaurant (small, authentic... located at 236 West 56th Street, 212-247-3491) was incredible.  A "who's who" crowd... Sal sells his sauces all over the country.  Then a cigar at the Carnegie Club Cocktail and Smoking Lounge, 156 W. 56th Street... new, nice mixed crowd, great ventilation.

Tough to beat NYC!
